Batman: Arkham Knight Release Date
Batman: Arkham Knight is an upcoming action video game with a third-person perspective. It will be run on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. The game continues the story of Batman which is described in the DC Universe comics. One of the features of Arkham Knight will be the ability to control the Batmobile which can be summoned at any time.
Currently, there are 3 games in the Batman: Arkham series: Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009), Batman: Arkham City (2011) and Batman: Arkham Origins (2013). The new game’s release Batman: Arkham Knight is expected on June 2, 2015. The fourth game will most likely answer all the previously asked questions and be the final one.
The British studio Rocksteady, the one that worked on the 1st and 2nd parts (the third one was under control of Warner Bros. Games Montreal) will develop the game. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is the publisher. They are also known for such games as Overlord, Mortal Kombat, and others. The game will be localized in multiple languages.
The game is being created using Unreal Engine 3. In the beginning, the release was planned in October 2014, but later the developers have announced moving the date to June 2, 2015. Taking into attention the fact that this game is going to be the last one, this delay seems justified. The creators need to do their best to release the best Batman game.
The events will take place a year after Joker’s death. For atman, it is a harsh fight with criminals and villains in Gotham who are not going to back off. On the contrary, they are all uniting in order to destroy Batman.
Danger of the special kind poses Scarecrow. He is busy developing the new toxin which causes attacks of fear in people. By distributing it with bombs around the entire city, Scarecrow forces people to leave their homes. Also, other dark personalities are also active, including the famous gangster Penguin, an ex-prosecutor Two-Face, and Joker’s ally Harley Quinn.
There won’t be any revolutionary changes in the gameplay. Instead, the developers will take the groundwork from the previous parts and make it better. The combat system will be improved, and Batman will have a couple of new abilities, including the possibility of killing three enemies without being noticed.
Having limited resources, the developers have decided to use only single-player mode. All the efforts have been aimed at making the individual game experience really enjoyable when going deeper into the detailed and beautiful virtual world.
Players will have gadgets and tools from the previous games. They include: batarangs (bat-shaped boomerangs), line thrower, hook, and other items. Batman will have the ability to use special detective eyesight.
Game locations will be much broader than the ones in Arkham: City. Gotham will occupy 3 islands and exceed Arkham by size 3 times. Batman will be able to use Batmobile in the city; the car can destroy obstacles, disarm cars with missiles, and make long jumps.
