The continuation of the series is coming in 2016 (probably in April – the specific date is not yet announced) and the directors promise it will be even better than the previous seasons. Moreover, they say, that it will be a very different season. The former creator and the producer of the show was Armando Lanucci. He is no longer working on the show. Now, the series have a new boss – Davis Mandel. This name sounds really promising, cause earlier he has already worked on two successful projects – “Seinfield” and “Curb your Enthusiasm”. Moreover, he worked a lot with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who is the real heart of the series, so you shouldn’t worry too much about the changes in the show.

Veep is a political satire show that centers its plot round a stupid, clueless, and completely ignorant politician – Selina Meyer, a Vice-President. She’s got quite a bizarre staff of people working with her. The work she has started turned out to be a lot more difficult than she imagined while being a senator. Veep follows the way Meyer and her staff deal with everyday usual political games trying not to get revealed and tripped for the senseless actions. This way the series reveal the real situation in Washington DC.

While making her speech at The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards  in 2013 the main character of the series - Julia Louis-Dreyfus was accompanied by Tony Hale right on stage. They were standing together and while Julia was speaking Hale was trying to pretend that he was feeding her lines as it usually happened on the show.

Sometimes the actors improvise to make the situations of the series look even more ridiculous – the process of shooting is constantly observed by the writers who follow the improvisations and decide on how to incorporate them to the scripts.

Anna Chlumsky had no audition before the creators started making the show.

The US President is never seen on the show, his name is never mentioned except for the end of the third season. The name of the president is finally revealed – it’s Stuart Hughes. But still, he remains unseen onscreen.
