Battlefield Hardline Release Date
Battlefield Hardline is an upcoming first-person shooter game for multiple platforms, including PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Hardline will be the 12th game in the Battlefield series. Its defining feature will be its main idea, because this time, the protagonist will fight the organized crime as a police officer.
The new game was announced in the end of May 2014 right before the E3 2014 game industry conference. At first, the release date was set on October 23, 2014, two weeks prior to its main competitor’s this year – a shooter titled Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. However, the developers moved the date to the early 2015 explaining it with the necessity to ensure the game’s top quality. Later, the exact date was revealed – March 17, 2015.
Battlefield Hardline should be followed by Battlefield 5 which is expected to be out by the end of 2016.
The game was developed by the Visceral Games studio which is known for the Dead Space series. Electronic Arts company is the publisher.
The game is developed using the Frostbite Engine 3, which was used to make the latest installment as well, Battlefield 4. The main accent is made on creating an engaging solo campaign, which has to be more exciting than in the previous Battlefield games.
The plot of the game will unfold around the confrontation between the police and the criminal gangs in Miami, which is totally different from the usual enemy destruction motive. The main character is a detective Nick Mendoza who conducts his own investigation leading him to the corrupt police officers who use their status for their personal gain.
Every mission in the game will have its own plot and logical ending, which will make the game more like a series consisting of separate episodes.
Every party will have its own armor, equipment and aims. The police will have the access to all scanners and tactical weapons of the special troops. Gang members will be using pulling cables to move faster.
Artificial intelligence will be completely remodelled in the game. Apart from the possibility of destroying buildings, it will provide the opportunity of completing one mission in different ways every time.
A large arsenal of weapons, gadgets and equipment will allow using different styles of gameplay – from hardcore to stealth mode.
Regarding multiplayer, the developers promise creating large-scale maps that will exceed the sizes of locations from the previous games.
The name suggests that there no place for a trade-off in the battlefield.
